Most people who bet BTTS No hold it for ninety minutes. But Both Teams to Score No gains with every goalless minute, and one goal from each side, even in stoppage time, takes it all back. This BTTS No strategy buys it before kickoff, sells it 15 cents above break-even when a quiet start lifts the price, and sits through a single goal with no stop-loss. This guide explains the bet from zero, walks through two real Polymarket matches, and shows how to run it as a preset in OddsFantasy.
Both teams to score (BTTS) is a market on whether both teams score at least once in a football match, in regular time. It has two sides: Yes pays if both teams score, No pays if at least one team keeps a clean sheet, which means it doesn't concede. "No BTTS" and "NG" (no goal) are other names for the same bet.
On Polymarket, a winning share pays $1 once the market is settled and a losing one pays nothing, so the price works like a chance: 45¢ is odds of about 2.2. See the guide to betting odds.
At normal prices it's a fair one. Across 3,427 Polymarket matches from August to October 2026 with BTTS No at odds 1.9 to 2.6 (38.5-52.6¢) ten minutes before kickoff, it cost 44.9¢ on average and won 43.6% of the time. Over all 5,289 matches, both teams scored in 56.1%.
Held to the end, that's a fair bet and nothing more. What makes it worth trading is the clock.
Every goalless minute lifts it. An early goal knocks it down, but now only one team needs a goal, and every minute without a reply lifts it again. Only the second team's goal ends it.
On 6 September 2026 Juventus played AC Milan in Serie A. Real Polymarket trades on BTTS No:
On 19 October 2026 Tottenham played Coventry City in the Premier League. BTTS No cost 43¢. Tottenham scored after 14 minutes and it fell to 34¢; with no reply, the clock lifted it back to 51¢ by half-time, short of the 58¢ target. Coventry equalised four minutes after the break, and it was worth nothing.

The prices are fair, so the matches you tick are your edge. What a trader looks for:
What to skip: two attacking teams with leaky defences, where both sides usually score.
Holding for the final whistle. At Juventus v Milan the No was worth 90¢ with twenty minutes left, and nothing at the end.
A stop-loss after one goal. At Tottenham it fell to 34¢ after the goal, and the clock had it back at 51¢ by half-time.
Ticking every match. Fair prices mean your edge is in the choice.
Part of the both teams to score presets series: Yes and No, before and after kickoff. See the BTTS strategy (Yes before kickoff, sell the first goal), the clean sheet betting strategy (BTTS No in play) and the BTTS Yes in-play strategy.
Prediction markets carry real risk: a share can go to zero. Only stake what you can afford to lose, you must be 18 or over, and check that Polymarket is available where you live.
That at least one team won't score in regular time. It pays if either team keeps a clean sheet, including a 0-0.
On Polymarket from August to October 2026, with BTTS No at odds 1.9 to 2.6 before kickoff, it won 43.6 times in 100 at an average price of 44.9¢. Both teams scored in 56.1% of all 5,289 matches.
Because the clock pays you early. A goalless first half-hour lifts it by about 13¢, and one goal from each side, at any minute, takes it to zero.
This preset doesn't. After an early goal the price drops to about 29¢, and every minute without a reply lifts it again; when the second team scores it goes to zero in one move, so a stop has nothing in between to sell into.
